I created Deep Tissue Massage Butter when I was in massage school a few years ago. My enlightened instructor, Jessica, provided us with information about the health hazards associated with the accumulation of toxins in commercial massage lotions and creams. I immediately went to work and developed this new creamy butter. My goal was to create a product that is pure, healthy and hypoallergenic.
I started with the most healing plant I know of, aloe vera. My pure, fresh aloe vera juice was hand-squeezed from the inner filet of certified organically grown plants and blended with unrefined, handcrafted shea butter, organic coconut oil from the Philippines and cocoa butter for an amazingly moisturizing and nourishing experience. Gentle arnica and St. John's wort floers soothe and promote healing of soft tissues, while lecithin helps maintain cell walls and hydration, making skin look smoother and healthier. Vitamin C and E and grapefruit seed extract provide antioxidents that help undo environmental damage to the skin.
Deep Tissue Massage Butter feels rich and creamy, and stays on the skin long enough to give a good massage without reapplication. It is smooth as silk, yet provides enough drag for slow deep tissue work and it soaks in well, leaving your client feeling moisturized but not greasy.
